JD Build was founded in Harrisonville in 2020, and it's still where every project begins: the proposals are written here, the trailers load here, and Jesse and Dylan — the owners — live and build here. When you hire us, the people whose names are on the company are the people on your jobsite.
That matters in a town this size. We see our clients at the grocery store and the ballfield, so a job isn't finished when the invoice is paid — it's finished when we'd be proud to run into you six months later. Recent Harrisonville-area work has ranged from full remodels down to honest repair carpentry, like rebuilding water-damaged siding and new pressure-treated patio steps.
Harrisonville housing runs the full spectrum: turn-of-the-century homes in the blocks around the historic square, mid-century ranches along the older streets, newer subdivisions on the edges of town, and acreage properties out past the section lines. Each one remodels differently, and we've worked on all of them.
The older homes near the square reward careful work — original trim worth matching, framing that predates modern code, and rooms that want opening up. Our schedule is built around full remodels, but Harrisonville is home — for our neighbors we make room for smaller carpentry and repair work when the calendar allows. Remodeling permits in town run through the City of Harrisonville, and we handle that legwork as part of every project — the paperwork, the inspections, and the schedule around them. Projects outside city limits in unincorporated Cass County follow the county's requirements instead, and we sort out which applies before work begins.
We deliberately run a limited number of projects at a time so Jesse and Dylan can be on every jobsite — which means we book a schedule slot rather than stacking crews. After your consultation you'll get a line-item proposal and an honest start window, and we hold to it.
