Home Remodeling in Raymore

Raymore's subdivisions are full of well-built homes with one thing missing: the finished basement, the opened-up kitchen, the bathroom that matches the rest of the house. That's our lane.

Est. 2020 · Harrisonville, Missouri · Serving Raymore

Raymore is twenty minutes up the road from our shop — close enough that it's simply part of the neighborhood we build in.

Most of Raymore was built in the last thirty years, and that vintage of home has a predictable remodel arc: the unfinished basement that came with the house, the builder-grade kitchen that's ready for better, the primary bath that never quite matched the mortgage. We recently refinished a basement for a Raymore homeowner — exactly the kind of project these houses are waiting for.

Because we're a Cass County company, Raymore isn't an edge-of-territory job we squeeze in — it's home turf. Jesse and Dylan lead every jobsite personally, the proposal is line-item honest, and the finish work is the kind you stop noticing because it simply looks like the house was always meant to be this way.

The Homes of Raymore

Drive through Raymore's subdivisions and you'll see the same smart purchase over and over: a two-story or ranch from the 1990s or 2000s, solid structure, good lot — and a lower level the builder left as bare studs and concrete. Finishing that basement is the cheapest square footage a Raymore homeowner will ever add, and done right it becomes the most-used floor in the house.

The first wave of these homes is also hitting kitchen-and-bath age. Twenty-five-year-old oak cabinets, laminate counters, and garden tubs are all original-issue around here, and replacing them well — not just newer, but better laid out — is most of what we're asked to do in town.

Common Questions

Raymore Remodeling FAQs

Have you actually done work in Raymore?

Yes — our recent Raymore work includes a basement refinish, and Raymore sits squarely inside our core Cass County service area, about twenty minutes from our Harrisonville shop. This isn't a town we list to pad a map; it's one we build in.

Can you finish a basement project we started ourselves?

We can, and we have — homeowners sometimes get a project partway there and hit framing, soffits, or finish work that's beyond the weekend toolkit. We'll assess what's built honestly, tell you what can stay, and take it from wherever you stopped to fully finished.

Do Raymore basements need permits and egress windows?

Finishing a basement in Raymore requires permits through the City of Raymore, and any room used as a bedroom needs a code-compliant egress window. We handle the permitting legwork and inspections as part of the project — it's built into the proposal, not an extra.

"We were framing our basement ourselves but got stuck on the soffits. I called for help and Dylan & Jess delivered. Pleasant, highly skilled, conscientious… They truly perform beautiful work. JD Build, LLC… you absolutely hit every single mark."
